Privacy Policy

Privacy practices for accounts, syncs, and location data

Effective July 24, 2026. This policy describes the data MomentoSync collects, how it is used, and the controls available to users and creators.

What we collect

Account details, profile content, sync media, coarse location data, operational telemetry needed to run the service, and website usage analytics collected through Google Analytics.

How we use it

We use your data to authenticate accounts, run sync unlock schedules, deliver notifications, enforce safety rules, improve the product, and measure website usage and conversion trends.

Location and media

Locations are intentionally obfuscated on public surfaces, and media playback links are signed with short-lived URLs.

Your controls

You can manage profile visibility, notification preferences, private zones, and deletion requests from within the product or by contacting support.

Compliance basics

MomentoSync supports GDPR and CCPA baseline rights including access, deletion, and contact-based privacy requests.

Analytics and cookies

MomentoSync uses essential cookies for authentication and security, first-party product analytics, and Google Analytics for website measurement. We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal data for cross-site ad targeting.

Payments and preorders

When you preorder, our payment processor Stripe, Inc. collects and processes your payment card details directly. We never see or store your full card number. We receive and keep your email address, the amount and date of your purchase, the last four digits of your card, and Stripe's transaction identifiers, so that we can send your receipt, contact you about your preorder, and issue refunds. Stripe processes this information as an independent business under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. We keep preorder records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes and then delete them.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers who help us operate MomentoSync: Stripe (payments), Supabase (application hosting and database), SendGrid (email delivery), and Google Analytics (website measurement). We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use advertising trackers.

Do Not Track, changes, and contact

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, and MomentoSync does not currently respond to them. We do not track you across other companies' websites. If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and email registered users and preorder customers at their last known address before the change takes effect. To ask a question, request access to or deletion of your information, or exercise any right described in this policy, email hello@momentosync.com and we will respond within 30 days.
